Tina Prins, a native of the Pacific NW,  has a passion for photography and enjoys art in many different forms.

We are still brewing a great tasting kombucha! This weeks flavor is black currant and was brewed on July 15th. Come get yours before we sell out….

This coming Saturday is full of events!

Saturday, April 10 10:00am-2:00pm Fund raiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society(LLS). We will have 3 massage chairs and giving 10-15 minute massages for $10.00. All proceeds will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In addition, I will be donating 10% of the gross receipts during the event. Everyone wins!

Saturday, April 10 2:00pm-4:00pm JAZZ! The Brooklyn Street Jazz Combo will be here playing jazz standards and a little Latin. Trumpet/fugelhorn, tenor sax, guitar, bass and drums will fill the coffeehouse with groovy music. No cover but tips would be welcome.

Saturday, April 10 5:00-7:00+ Talent Showcase. Inspired by the jazz? Come on by and show us what you’ve got. Jugglers, musicians, magicians, storytellers, poets, singers and dancers – whatever your talent is…. come and share it!

Sunday, April 11 1:00-4:00pm. Robert Bassett Artist opening. Come meet this month’s talented artist.

Saturday-Sunday April 17-18 – Tax day recovery weekend! Bring your “frequent drinker” punch card and redeem 6 punches for half off anything on our drink menu! Come unwind and get the tax man out of your mind. Remember paying taxes is mind over matter – if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. (Actually, even if you do mind, it doesn’t matter)

Saturday, April 17 2:00pm-5:00pm – SCRABBLE CHALLENGE! Last month no one was able to beat me at Scrabble (okay, I guess, technically, since I didn’t show up, no one played against me). I will return this Saturday with a vengeance.

Friday, May 7, 5:00pm-7:00pm The Lonesomes! LIVE! “The Lonesomes play the kind of twisty, dreamy alt country that makes a perfect soundtrack to summer afternoon barbecues” (not my words). What a BUSY Friday the 7th we are going to have. This foursome plays some incredible music and will be here playing in little MILWAUKIE! Weather permitting, we will set up for an OUTSIDE venue. Anyone want to guess if it will rain?

We are exploring the possibility of having a local talent Wednesday night LIVE! Music performed by local artists EVERY Wednesday evening. Make your hump day something to look forward to… I’ll let you know when this will be starting.

Thursday, October 15 – 4:30 – 6:30p.m. - FREE Wine tasting event.  We will be tasting wines from Chateau Lorane Vineyards (Oregon). Wine tasting is free, bottles and cases of wine will be discounted.  We will be tasting the Pinot Noir,  Prestige (a delicious white blend),  Marechal Foch and several honey wines.

Thursday, October 15 – 7:00-9:00p.m. – Socrates Cafe – Always a great group getting together to discuss the meaning of current events and more.

Friday, October 16 - 4th Year Anniversary!!!!!!!!  Yes, its true, it’s been THAT long.  Come help us CELEBRATE.  FREE house coffee (all day) and cake (while supplies last) and FREE gifts (while supplies last).  FREE 8-minute chair massage from 8:30-10:30a.m. (reserve your time slot on Friday the 16th)
